What are your rates? What are the acceptable forms of payment?
Individual sessions are $220 for 45-50 mins.
Couples and Family sessions are $280 for 60 mins and $340 for 75 mins.
I accept cash, credit card and FSA/HSA
I understand when certain self-care practices may be difficult due to financial hardship. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please reach out for more information.
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance, as I am not an “in-network” provider.
Please check your insurance coverage carefully to see if you receive out-of-network benefits. “Out-of-network” mental health services may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. The following questions could help guide your conversation with your provider:
Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What is my "co-insurance"?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per session?
Is approval required from my primary care doctor?
In instances where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse your expenses. I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance provider.
You can also click here to be directed to a calculator to determine what your out-of-network reimbursement rate will be. Please input my name from the drop-down menu and enter your information.
Are there benefits to paying out-of-pocket?
Yes! This may be preferable as it allows for more freedom and privacy. There are implications of using insurance.
Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you are going through. You may also be limited to in-network providers which can restrict your chances of finding the right fit for you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
How is therapy conducted?
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
How frequently will we meet? When will I no longer need therapy?
We will meet weekly. We will work together to find a time that fits with your schedule. Consistent weekly attendance is highly beneficial for our therapeutic journey and relationship and for your wellbeing. Through time and process, we may discuss and adjust the frequency of our session if appropriate.
There is no set timeline for our work together. We can assess, re-assess and adjust our goals and process throughout our journey, until we are ready and/or comfortable to celebrate the end of our work together! This can be an ongoing conversation.
There is a 48-hour full-fee cancellation policy with exceptions in cases of true emergencies or true illness. In the event that you cancel without an emergency and within 48 hours, you will be charged a full session fee. Each time slot is reserved specially for you.
I am excited and/or nervous, what do I do next?
It is natural to experience these feelings! I hope to have the privilege to navigate this space with you at a pace that is nurturing and empowering for you.
You can reach out to schedule a free 15-min phone consultation. This opportunity will allow us to discuss your needs, wants and hopes for therapy and address any questions and/or concerns you may have about my work and the process. We may then schedule an intake, so that I can learn more about you and your concerns, goals and expectations, and we can determine if we feel aligned to begin this meaningful work together.
